Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Sam Apostel, a natural person resident in Belgium (“Reizo”, “we”, “us”), governing your use of the Reizo iOS app and the website at reizo.app (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Reizo helps you plan and record trips: itineraries, maps, places, checklists, budgets, photos, and journals. The website is free. The iOS app is a one-time paid purchase through the Apple App Store; payment, refunds, and Family Sharing are handled by Apple under Apple’s terms, not by us.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age for digital consent in your country) to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials and device secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate account information and keep it current.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you create (“Your Content”): trips, notes, journal entries, photos, places, and so on. You grant us only the limited licence needed to host, store, back up, process, and display Your Content to you and to the people you choose to share it with, for the purpose of operating the Service. We do not use Your Content for advertising and do not claim ownership of it. You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the rights to it.

4. Sharing

Trips are private by default. They become visible to others only when you (a) invite an editor, or (b) share a link. Anyone who has a share link can view that trip, so share links carefully. There is no public directory, feed, or search within the Service.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• break the law, or infringe anyone’s intellectual-property or privacy rights;
• upload or share content you don’t have the rights to;
• attempt to access other users’ data, probe, scrape, overload, or circumvent security, rate limits, or access controls (including share-link tokens, the API, or the MCP interface);
• use the Service to harass, threaten, or harm anyone, or to store unlawful material.

6. Objectionable content — zero tolerance

There is zero tolerance for objectionable, abusive, or illegal content and for abusive users. “Objectionable content” includes content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, sexually exploitative (especially anything involving minors), violent, or that infringes others’ rights.

• You must not create, upload, share, or transmit objectionable content through Reizo, including via shared trips, links, photos, or notes.
• You can report objectionable content or an abusive user at abuse@reizo.app. We aim to review reports within 24 hours and will remove violating content and eject the users responsible as appropriate.
• We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy, with or without notice.

7. Purchases, pricing, and Apple

The iOS app is sold by Apple as a one-time purchase. All purchases, billing, refunds, and Family Sharing are governed by Apple’s terms and the App Store. We do not process payments and cannot issue App Store refunds — contact Apple for those. If you obtained the app via the Apple App Store, you also agree to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement; Apple is not responsible for the app or any claims relating to it, and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them.

8. Account deletion & termination

You can delete your account at any time from within the app or website; doing so removes or anonymises your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time.

9. Availability & changes

We work to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we may change, suspend, or discontinue features. We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced in-app or by email and the “Last updated” date will change.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. Reizo is a planning and journalling tool, not a booking, navigation, safety, or travel-advisory service. Maps, weather, and other third-party data may be inaccurate or unavailable; do not rely on them for safety-critical decisions.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sam Apostel is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your mandatory consumer rights.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Belgium, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence.
